Work is progressing nicely, though I’m still waiting on some parts, so I’ve moved ahead with some other details. Andy likes to call me Mr. MightAsWell, and here are a couple of bits that fall into that category. First, my brake lines originally came into the cockpit with my engine controls and snaked up to my master cylinders. This seemed OK until I removed all of the wiring from the cockpit for interior installation. Suddenly I had these tubing runs that made no sense. So, out they come, to be rerouted ahead of the canard bulkhead to come in below the canard where they’ll not be seen. Next, I applied the “Riley” fix to our door handles. As it turns out, I don’t think this (crushed foam under the skin) is issue we were having, but it’s done and I don’t have to worry about it.
We still haven’t ordered a prop, but I still hope to very, very soon. My backlighted overhead and logo panels should be here this week, and the pictures look awesome and will look great with the new blue fuel gauge and glare shield lighting. I’m looking to get our Infinity stick engraved like Mark did (because it’s awesome!), and I think we’re going to get a Garmin GTX330ES so we can add traffic to our GRT display, and our interior material samples should be here shortly. Tons of goodness coming.
