UPDATE 1: So, the consensus was that it’s probably best not to fly right now. Scott at the factory gave us some advice on how to repair it, but I didn’t have time to do that before we wanted to leave, and since we’ll see MT (and all of the other prop dealers/shops)… we’ll probably have it repaired by a shop instead, so we have arrived at Airventure safely by car…
Well, I’ve nicked the leading edge of our prop again, quite badly this time, and I’m not sure if it’s something we can fix on our own or not. I’m going to talk to the factory, but if I can’t repair it tomorrow we’re probably driving. JB Weld takes a day to cure, and we’d planned to depart on Friday. Damnit.
