Having finally finished all of my requirements, I had the privilege tonight to treat my brother and his oldest son, Jake, for a ride in N44VF. We spent most of the day at King’s Island amusement park riding the coasters and enjoy carny food, so after a quick couple of laps of Cesar’s Creek lake and State Park, we headed south to overfly the park and let them check it out from the air! After a couple of laps around the park we flew over Monroe and Middletown where we grew up, and then headed back to the airport so we could grab some dinner.

The flight was short and uneventful, but it was extremely cool to be able to just drive to the airport, (preflight) jump in, and go. And it was pretty awesome for my first “non-instruction” flight was with my family. Hopefully this will be the first of many enjoyable flights with my friends and family.
