SSDD. Today we went out and did another simulated IFR cross-country, but I didn’t have quite as much time, so we popped up to Dayton again and then headed to Lunken field for an ILS to their 21L. It was a fairly uneventful flight, but the winds were up again (it is spring after all), and so I did a few patterns back home at Lebanon. I did much better today, but I still need to work on my cross-control technique. I didn’t realize how accustomed I’d gotten to just flying to the runway crabbed and kicking it out prior to touchdown (which is how we fly the Velocity). I need to be good at both, so it will be a point of focus for awhile.
