I’m now starting to get my complex endorsement, not really because I need it, but it’s good to have, but rather mostly because it puts me in a different airplane. I’m going to try to fly as many different airplanes as I can before inviting John from the factory to come up and do my transition into the Velocity.
So, how was it? I actually felt a lot more comfortable in the Arrow than I did the C182. Part of that was flying with my actual instructor again, for the first time in about 3 months, but it’s also so similar to the Warrior that I did my primary flight instruction in, it was just easier. I still have some work to do to be really proficient, but it’s not going to be too bad. My airport’s insurance requires 10 hours for the sign-off, so I’ll just relax and enjoy the time. All things considered, when I’m done I may go back and either fly the C182 or ask Ken if I can rent his C172 to get the hang of the high wing Cessnas before my transition training.
