I’m busy all weekend this week, so I took a half day of vacation to get in my final 1.7 hours of required solo time. The weather was really nice for mid November, though there was a steady 7 kt crosswind and although there were no clouds, it was hazy, particularly flying towards the sun. But, none of that really mattered much, and I was happy to get out and do a little bit of practicing, and a lot of sight-seeing as I worked the hours off. So, this Thanksgiving I’ll have a bit more to be thankful for, and maybe I’ll get enough flying in the weekend after the holiday to schedule my checkride. We’ll see, but it’s not too far off now.
