Congratulations are in order for our Velocity friends, the Brainards, as they have agreed to buy Hugh Dunn’s Danny Maher original (short wing retract) Velocity N5165U. Hugh built it in the late nineties, and flew it to Oshkosh a couple of times, but has not flown it in a few years. He’s at the point in life where getting a medical and flying small aircraft doesn’t make much sense, and it falls happily as Jerry and Linda get to fly sooner than they would just by finishing their XL/RG.

She’ll need a little work to get her back into the air, and I’ll be helping with that as soon as I finish our condition inspection.
