We’re getting really close now. Beth took her out and did 1.8 hours tonight, for a total just short of 38. The plan is to go out and finish up our 40 tomorrow and start cleaning up the punchlist repairs and adjustments this weekend. Assuming we can do that, there will be much rejoicing on Friday. It’s quite a thing to think about, having built an airplane. I told my buddy Andy recently, and I don’t think he can understand yet, how really surprised I am at how commonplace it’s beginning to seem to see my plane fly overhead. N44VF has performed so well lately that I don’t really worry Beth when she flies her – which is as it should be, but it really seems amazing. Soon my baby will really be free to leave the nest and travel this wonderful country and explore the wider world. To say that I’m ready to accompany her is an understatement. May she always have fair skies and tailwinds.
