Wow…. Long time without updates, and I’ve probably lost 98% of my readers! Sorry about that. We’ve had a long dry spell driven by the new house, and all that that entails, and we’ve just returned from a (commercially flown) trip to California. Just before we left I’d pulled our LightSpeed ignitions out of the airplane for a stranded Sport Air Racer friend of ours who was grounded in Louisville. Last week I put that those back in, and Elizabeth needed some stick time, so we loaded up for the ~10 flight to show the airplane off at the Chapter Picnic. Since we’re not planning on going to Oshkosh this year (though we may do a day-trip) we need to find excuses to go flying. So we did one quick lap around the pattern and then headed over for burgers. We only stayed about an hour, it was really warm even at 3,000′, but it was good to do some flying.
