Well, after a rather long dry spell, Beth and I are back into the plane building business.

If you were keeping up with our hero’s last episode you knew we were getting a house with a garage/shop. Well, that house deal went sour, so we decided to build our own. We found a nice house close to some friends of ours that was just getting the drywall hung in the fall, and we have finished it out and moved in.

Sadly, just as we had gotten that behind us, we lost my father and had to settle his estate. That is, as you may know, a long and difficult process, both financially and emotionally. And just when things seemed to be coming around, Beth’s father needed open-heart surgery to repair some blockage. Needless to say, it has been a hectic and tumultuous few months.

But we’re getting back into the swing of things, and for various reasons (Avemco’s position towards insuring Velocitys, and Nafco’s position towards as-yet-unmarried couples being major considerations), we’ve elected to pay for the plane up front and as 2 sub-kits. We will be traveling to the factory on June 11-18 to participate in the Head Start program, after which our XL fixed gear will be available for viewing in Cincy!
