So, we were going to fly to our EAA Chapter’s meeting this afternoon…. Well, you should always get a briefing it seems. We were late getting started (when aren’t we? Dave Bertram says Beth dawdles, and he is 100% right), and we got caught by curious onlookers when we were pulling the plane out. Late, late, late. Finally we launch with not a moment to spare, climb out, change frequencies and request a runway advisory….

Let me tell you a story. There’s this event at the Butler County Airport every August called the R/C Flying Circus. It’s a big, big model airplane show. Closes the whole airport for the better part of a Day. First weekend of August, I believe? Yea, today’s the day, and we totally forgot. “Negative Ghost Writer, the airport is closed…” Bummer. I was so stoked to show the airplane off and tell everyone how cool I am because Scott Swing flew my airplane. 😥   Maybe next time….
