Cincinnati isn’t built for strong winds because, well, we just don’t get them. Needless to say, we shut down work at the airport early on Sunday and now over half of the city is without power (including both of my work locations), and we’re hosting friends at the homestead. There is a line from “Liar, Liar”, that I will never hear with the same jocularity – “Hit me again, Ike, and put some stank on it!”. Luckily we personally were spared major damage, and still have all of our services, but not everyone even in my neighborhood was so lucky. Here’s a little flavor for what we’re dealing with.
