Elizabeth and I went out flying for about 2 hours today playing with the roll servo on the autopilot, and got it working. I didn’t do any advanced testing, so on my next flight I will probably check that it increments waypoints on the GPS flight plan properly (it almost has to), and check that it will fly a hold/procedure turn. That will be pretty cool, and I expect it to do that well also. The Trio performs quite well in TRK mode, tracking the GPS desired track within a few hundredths of a mile. In CRS mode, it tracks the desired course fairly well, but does wander back and forth a bit (a couple of degrees). I’ve got a question into them because I think it has no, since it doesn’t have cross-track error to aid it in staying on course, but we’ll see what they say. Next up will be the pitch servo.
