Flight 2 of my restarted training. I’m still getting used to the Warrior, but I think I’m doing OK. We went out and started by climbing to altitude and trimming the airplane out, then Pete would change the power setting and force me to retrim the airplane. That was all we were planning to do, so Pete must have thought that I was doing OK, as he started asking me to turn to headings while holding altitude, and then doing so at various power settings working his way down to slow flight. I’m way behind the airplane at times, and I don’t sense yet very quickly what it’s telling me, so I’ll get the altitude I want but not sense the airplane hasn’t finished changing speed, which I then end up chasing for awhile. Next out I need to practice providing more input sooner, as I think I’m babying the yoke a bit, rather than putting the airplane where I want it.
