Airventure is over for this year, which always feels like the end of summer to me even though we have several weeks left to go. I’ll post some pictures shortly, but we had a great week. We spent a lot of time hanging out with Velocity builders and fliers as well as members of our EAA chapter and other canard folks. That’s always a lot of fun, but we also got to visit with folks from the companies that have been key to our project. It’s cool to be able to share our “completion” with people that have played a crucial role, even though some were disappointed we didn’t fly in. Air Graphics, for instance, used our airplane prominently in their booth presentation, and CO Guardian wanted pictures for their website since we’re one of the first customers to install a 455 with the Grand Rapids EFIS. Also see the Velocity BBQ entry for coverage of that. Airventure seems to get busier for us every year!
Here’s proof that we made it this year, the time-lapse camera caught us parked at our buddy Kent’s campsite, evident at about 43 seconds. We’re parked next to the big red “Funkmaster” truck on the left…
