We had some crosswinds tonight, starting out as 13 knot direct crosswind component, so Pete and I went out to practice. It’s been pretty benign all summer, so I haven’t had much chance to practice with any real wind. Nobody else was out playing in it, which was a good sign! The winds were challenging, but I did fine. My touchdowns were better than my final approaches, which were a little uneven between my aileron and rudder work. I’ll get better with practice, and winter should give me plenty of chance to get some practice. For now I’ll just be happy that all of my landings were acceptable.
