Rough River 2018 was a pretty strange edition. The weather over the park was lovely pretty much all weekend, though there was some low fog some mornings that delayed arrivals, but everywhere else there were issues. Mark and Nancy could not get in from Philly. Dave, Bob, and the Kufalk’s had to leave midday on Saturday to beat weather back to Minnesota and Wisconsin. Even Rene’ had weather coming and going to Dallas to deal with. All together we had a decent Velocity turnout, we just weren’t all there art the same time.
Jimmy and Lynn Dallas where there, but their plane didn’t make it. Dave Nelson of course is always there, Rene showed up in the Legend, mostly to make up time and give a couple of rides I think, Bobby Ibrahim made it up from Alabama, Andy and Theresa made it down from Kalamazoo, us of course, and Reiff and Steve from Victor Fox in, the Kufalk’s, and the Cabiroy’s. The Cozy girls were only in for one day, and Terry Schubert had airplane issues and couldn’t fly in, so as I say it was strange, and with the weather there were about 1/2 as many airplanes on the ramp. We did still have fun, and enjoyed Riley’s birthday cake non-the-less. Here are some pictures, but check out the Picture Album for more.
